Born and raised in North Shields. Another graduate of the King Edward Junior School Academy worldbeaters. Played for Linskill High, and Tyne Boys Club (member of the Tyne Ajax team in the 70's). My first sight of the 'Lads at St. James' was Newcastle v Burnley (Spider Morgan was the star that day). I was passed by my Dad (who was on the books at Newcastle during the War) over the heads at the Leazes End to sit pitch-side. Can't remember the score or who won - I was 7 years old and totally mesmerized by the whole occasion. There's only ever been one team for me! Howay the Lads!
